A New Source of Supply: AllClear and Valcor Deliver Second-Source Bleed Air Solenoid Valves for F-15 and F-16

When a single manufacturer stands between an operator and a mission-critical part, long lead times pose significant risk. That’s the reality many F-15 and F-16 operators face with the bleed air solenoid valve: a component with no shortage of demand and, until now, no alternative source of supply.

AllClear Aerospace & Defense and OEM partner Valcor Engineering are changing that.

A Joint Investment in Supply Chain Resilience

AllClear and Valcor have jointly invested in the development and manufacture of a second-source solution for these high-demand bleed air solenoid valves. The goal is straightforward: expand supply availability and help address the extended lead times that domestic and international operators have had to plan around for years.

This approach is a strategic investment in keeping critical valves available whenever and wherever operators need them.

Government-Approved, Form-Fit-Function Identical

Valcor’s new bleed air solenoid valves have secured U.S. Government approval through the Source Approval Request (SAR) process, the formal review the Defense Logistics Agency uses to qualify a new or alternate manufacturer for a part currently sourced from a single approved supplier. Earning that approval means demonstrating, with full supporting technical data, that the part meets the same form, fit, function, performance, and quality requirements as the original.

That USG approval matters well beyond U.S. operators, as global customers frequently look to what the U.S. government have already approved and accepted before qualifying a new supplier for their own fleets.

Valcor’s valves are not simply a replacement for the OEM part. They’re a second source of supply, giving operators a qualified, government-directed alternative when they need one.

Built for F-15 and F-16 Readiness

These new valves support the F-15 and F-16 platforms, giving operators a direct alternative with the same performance they already rely on. The advantages are direct and immediate: faster access to material, identical performance to the original part, and a second source that reduces dependance on a single supplier’s production schedule.

AllClear maintains stock on the shelf and is ready to ship for both part numbers from its global distribution center in Miramar, Florida. For F-15 and F-16 maintenance teams working against a grounded aircraft, that means a valve can ship the same day it’s ordered, rather than weeks or months down the road on a single supplier’s production schedule.
